A very well written work encompasing a true champion's spirit. Jim Shoulders will always be the Cowboy by whom try to measure up to.A true champion.
I was excited when I saw there was a biography on Jim Shoulders, but the excitement was short lived. I have read magazine articles that told me more about one of our greatest all-around cowboys. Despite the author having an opportunity to spend time with and interview Mr. Shoulders, I did not read anything new regarding him. On top of that, buyers should note that the book is only 45 pages and did not even seem that long. The author did not write anything about Shoulders; rodeo school, the great livestock he owned, the rodeos he produced or even share any details of him being one of the original investors in the Mesquite rodeo. Very little effort went into the research.
Wish it had been more in-depth and included much more details.
A great bio of one of the most famous rodeo cowboys of all time . A must read for anyone interested in the history of rodeo.
Very poorly written and short. Not what I was expecting at all.
An excellent story of a legendary man who lived in a very different time.It is also written very well.
